JOB OPENINGS AT ISOC

Webmaster / Marketing Specialist
Part-Time (up to 5 hours per week)
The Webmaster/Marketing Specialist is responsible for administering ISOC’s online presence.  Duties will include maintaining and updating ISOC’s website, monitoring and posting to social media, and assisting with email marketing.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and updating ISOC’s website (www.isocmasjid.org)
  • Work with administration to improve current website functionality
  • Monitoring and posting announcements and events to social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram)
  • Assist with email marketing (weekly ISOC newsletter and other email alerts)

Candidates must have strong WordPress, HTML/CSS/PHP experience.  Graphic design skills (Photoshop/Illustrator) are desired, but not required.

Facilities Coordinator
Part-Time
Hours: evenings/weekends/TBD
*Schedule will vary during special events and in Ramadan
Pay: depends on experience
Ideal applicant must have a clean work history and reliable references, honest and punctual, in good health and physically active, have ability to lift tables and chairs, basic handyman/maintenance know-how, must be able to communicate in English, tech savvy (to setup computer and audiovisual equipment for events), organized, diligent, and ability to interact professionally with others in a team environment.
Applicant will work with ISOC Staff and report directly to the Facilities Manager.

JOB OPENINGS AT ISLAMIC WEEKEND SCHOOL
Islamic Weekend School Principal
Part-Time (up to 20 hours per week)
The school Principal serves as the educational and administrative leader, responsible for building and maintaining a professional Islamic Weekend School (IWS). Duties include but are not limited to managing school staff, policies, operations, procedures, and regulations to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe, Islamic learning environment. Achieving academic excellence requires the school principal to work collaboratively to direct and nurture all members of the school staff and to communicate effectively with parents. The School Principal works closely with the Sheikh to ensure the vision and mission of the school is achieved.

Sunday School Teacher
Part-Time (up to 4 hours on Sundays)
The teacher is the role model and mentor of children. The teacher follows in the prophetic role of nurturing and developing those entrusted to him or her. In order to fulfill this role, the teacher must be a committed Muslim who exemplifies strong Islamic character and possesses sound knowledge of Islam.

Sunday School Administrator
Part-Time (up to 4 hours per week)
To assist Principal on all levels of administrative tasks in the IWS office.  Tasks may include answering phone calls, communicating with teachers, students and parents, and assisting with the weekly activities of the Weekend School program. Need experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
